Libraries change lives!
We provide a vibrant library service and arts program that moves with the community to bring opportunities for lifelong learning, personal development, job help and inspiring buildings to work or study in! This along with access to great books, DVD’s and magazines.
Library branches are comfortable and connected places with free Wi-Fi and study tables that support independent and group work or study, along with private rooms that can be booked in advance if you need to sit an online job interview or record a candidate profile.
We have two library branches, in Melton and Caroline Springs (as well as four access points in Aintree, Fraser Rise, Diggers Rest and Atherstone). At both library branches there are computers, printers with photocopy and scanning facilities, free Wi-Fi and gaming consoles.
If you need some assistance with resume building and pathways to employment Job Lab is a regular program that you can book face to face time with a qualified careers counsellor. A Jobs Victoria Advocate is also available on a regular basis until June 2023.
On the shelf you will find handy books to assist you in a wide range of subjects, including interview preparation, resume building, navigating workplaces and more.
Our eCollection provides access to a large range of content that you can read or listen to on your device. There are also platforms with quality courses for lifelong learning on a huge range of topics; Linked In Learning and Computer School have courses on everything from web design to business writing, communication skills to career development – perfect for helping you to develop in your chosen career, or for learning about a potential new career direction.
Libraries are a fantastic and rewarding place to work! If you are looking for a career in libraries, have a chat to our friendly library staff – they can help you find information about potential pathways and opportunities. We also provide a fully supported work placement for high school and tertiary students.
