Jobs Advocate – Melton City Council

Job advocates connect community members to information, resources and referral pathways relating to employment and training. Advocates can assist with resumes, job-readiness skills, training and employment support, and career counselling. Advocates have a great knowledge of local programs and services that can assist the community to achieve their career goals.

The Melton City Council Jobs Advocate program is a free initial one-on-one support to all Melton residents who need help finding work or who are struggling with the impact of unemployment or underemployment to connect them to information, resources and referral pathways relating to all things employment and training.

Advocates can assist with resumes, job readiness skills, employment support, training support and career counselling.

Advocates have a great knowledge of local programs and services that can benefit the community and help them to achieve their career goals.

Melton City Council Jobs Advocate team supports and helps jobseekers to navigate the wide range of employment and education services that are available in their local area, and ensure each person is referred to the right service that caters to their needs.

Eligibility criteria to access our services is: - To be 15 years or older - Have work rights - Reside in Melton City Council

Melton City Council Jobs Advocate team is specialised in dealing with CALD communities, youth, mature job seekers, and those with a disability. An interpreter service is also available, if required. Our approach is to reach out to the maximum members of the community; therefore, community members can visit us at community facilities across the City of Melton throughout the week. I.e. Melton Library, Learning Hub and Caroline Springs Library & Learning Hub and etc.
